I brought my 6-year-old daughter to Maison Salon Deux for her haircut, and it turned into such a special experience for her. She decided she wanted to try her very first blowout since she’s always had her natural curly hair, and Savannah made it absolutely magical.

Savannah did an amazing job she cut her hair beautifully and gave her a gorgeous blowout. She was incredibly patient, gentle, and kind throughout the entire appointment. She made my daughter feel comfortable and excited, which meant so much to me as a parent. It wasn’t just a haircut felt like a memorable milestone for her.

The salon is large, airy, clean, and has a good atmosphere. There are a lot of chairs, and while I visited Briana on a weekday morning, I could see how it might get busy on weekends.

I've been going to Jamie at Maison Deux for many years now, and every time I leave I feel amazing (whether it's getting any of these done: root color, cut, balayage). Amazing cuz of how I look and feel but also it's just a great place to spend a couple hours too. All of the stylists are so welcoming, and there is a definite friendly vibe had by all.

Jamie is of the best, and her work says it all! She always greets me with a smile, and I just love how down-to-earth she is. Another fun perk too - getting served tea, coffee, water - while you're waiting for dye processing etc.

Oh and the salon, now under Jamie, has upgraded all of the hair washing stations. I was literally in heaven. They are these fancy beds basically so you're lying flat instead of having to angle your head downwards. Felt so much better on my back.

I highly recommend Maison Deux for the work the stylists do and the friendly atmosphere. You can't beat the fact too that it's right in downtown San Mateo so you can run errands and grab lunch/dinner at your favorite spot there too!...more

As a brand new client who was referred by a friend to see OWNER and STYLIST JAMIE at Maison Deux Salon, for highlights, I experienced SUPERB customer service and very PLEASING hair treatment results. JAMIE is a TOP NOTCH professional in her field which is immediately apparent the minute you sit in her salon chair. Not only is Jamie personable and welcoming the minute you meet her, she also possesses a confident "take charge" hair advice styling appeal which is critical for people like myself who sometimes have difficulty communicating with the risk of causing confusion about what it is I'm looking/hoping for!!! Jamie proved that she must certainly be a mind reader because she NAILED my color and I'm tremendously happy with the results of her "art". "Leadership by example" always starts at the top for me and given my experience at Maison Deux, it was very telling that excellence in customer service and clientele satisfaction are a top priority at this salon.
